June 6, 2022 | Written by Rebecca Goodwin-Feldmann

CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS. Are you interested in supporting K-12 students and their families? Do you have a few hours a week to mentor, tutor or lend a helping hand to support a youth program?  Would you like to develop long-lasting, amazing, and mutually transformative relationships in a Christian-based ministry? If so, consider becoming a volunteer at Abundant Life Ministries. PLEASE VIEW OUR SUMMER SCHEDULE HERE ALM_SUMMER.PROGRAMMING.SCHEDULE_FLYER_FINAL_1

“As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” 1 Peter 4:10, KJV

We are currently seeking summer and fall volunteers for our K-4 and Middle School tutoring programs and our young ladies and men’s enrichment programs. Summer programming this year begins on June 27th through July 29th.

5-8th Grade Boys. This year, the 5th-8th Program will be hosted by Trinity Presbyterian Church on Mondays-Thursdays, and going swimming at Frye Springs Beach Club every Wednesday and doing local Field Trips on Thursdays. Coordinators for this are asking for volunteers during lunch hours to assist with prep and distribution.

K-4 Programming. Elementary Schoolers will be participating in Wildrock Nature Camp June 20th through the 23rd. Our Elementary School Coordinator, Tessa Thompson, will also be hosting various VBS sessions alongside our partnered churches at their locations. Our partnered churches this year are Trinity Presbyterian, Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Christ Community, The Pointe, and Victory Church. The Martha Jefferson Hospital will also be hosting the AL kids on their site for a Health and Sciences camp at the end of the summer. Volunteers are needed at these times.

Girls Programming. Our girls will be attending CitiKidz this year and will be back the 2nd week of July for further programming. Four meetings will be held for the girls’ programs throughout the summer. Volunteers are needed at these times.

If interested please contact Faith Kelley, 434.218.7149, [email protected].

Our Director of Leadership Development, Richard Feero, along with Fellow, Jonathan DeLeon, will be heading our volunteer training sessions.
