A Year Full of Blessings at Bible Club

May 13, 2024 | Written by Faith Kelley

ABUNDANT LIFE’S PROGRAM, BIBLE CLUB, 2024 session came to an end on Friday, May 3rd. Throughout the year, our youth have learned about God and how to honor Him and serve Him in the beauty of their youth. Through scripture, song, crafts, and play, our students were equipped with the gospel to spread in their community. As new faces were welcomed, new relationships and friendships were made. Another beautiful year of Bible Club speaks to God’s faithfulness to this community and Abundant Life’s desire to spread His love to our neighbors.

Bible Club is one of the Ministry’s most distinguished programs; since its inception, it serves as a fun safe space for kids to learn God’s word through lessons, the arts, activities, and music. We partner with churches and community members to bring spiritual support, education, and encouragement.

We were blessed to have three UVa students lead Bible Club alongside Elementary School Program Coordinator, Calvin Kellum.

“Bible Club is a space where the kids can grow in friendship with one another and knowing and loving God. Through leading Bible Club, I have grown tremendously in friendship with both the children and adults and in my own knowledge and love of God. Abundant Life has given me new vision for what the Kingdom of God looks like and what it truly means to love and be loved by your neighbor.”

Grace Jackson, Volunteer Co-Leader

“Being part of Bible Club has been about expanding what it means to look at God and His Kingdom through the lens of children. The questions they ask and their understanding of the stories help me know God more. I have also learned that our love for those around us and how we react should be shaped by our love for God. And through Bible Club, I get to show that to the kids and teach it to them one Friday at a time.”

Megnot Abebe, Volunteer Co-Leader

Thank you to each of our donors, partners, volunteers, and community members who made this year’s Bible Club a wonderful success.
